Custom Antennas by JEM Engineering

Design
Specializing in the design and development of unique antennas, JEM's antenna design experience includes:

Broadband Antennas—Antennas that operate over a wide band of frequencies (generally greater than one octave) such as spirals, log-periodic dipoles and Vivaldi notch elements.
"Both your expertise and dedication as well as the tremendous amount of assistance provided on the antenna design and characterization work for the RadarGolf System was invaluable. As you know, this was a first-ever product and many thought it could not be done but thanks to the JEM team the RadarGolf System is a success!"
Steven L. Harari, CEO, RadarGolf, Inc.

Narrowband Antennas—Antennas that operate over relatively narrow bandwidths (generally much less than one octave) including patch and resonant cavity antennas.

Genetic Antennas—Antennas designed entirely by an optimization algorithm, which can be a genetic algorithm or some other iterative method, having no input to their theory of operation by a human engineer. Genetic antennas are not existing designs modified by optimization but rather are new antennas designed by a computer.

Array Antennas & Beamformers—Array antennas consist of multiple radiating elements. In some cases these elements are fed by a corporate power divider or beamformer. The simplest beamformer is a power division network, which yields a fixed radiation beam. If the beamformer incorporates controllable phase or delay elements, a steerable beam array or "phased array" results.

One of JEM's most valuable and unique features is the fact that we offer both in-house rapid prototyping and testing services using a tapered anechoic far-field chamber (100 MHz to 40 GHz) to a spherical near to far-field chamber (400 MHz and 6 GHz). Having these testing capabilities not only facilitates the design process but also validates your product.
